When we were first invited by the contractor to visit the site in late 2005, we found a large house with attached mill and related outbuildings some of which were derelict due to years of neglect.
The aim was to completely refurbish these buildings and provide a private residence with the highest level of finish.
This project even involved re-routing the mill-stream which ran underneath the mill. This would occasionally flood causing it to fill the inside of the mill itself.
We were tasked with manufacturing the joinery which had to fit the existing industrial openings, many of which were shaped.
We also produced shaped Oak stair treads to suit a custom made stainless steel staircase which is encased in a glass tower helping to bring a modern twist to this traditional, industrial structure.
This was a fantastic project to be a part of and we feel that the finished property really does achieve what the client and architect were hoping for.
